Chinese Professor at MIT Wrongly Accused! Was it Because of his National Origin?

The U.S. Justice Department recently dropped charges against a Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor, Gang Chen, accused of concealing his ties to China when seeking federal grant money. This case is a setback for DOJ if its intentions are to unjustly accuse academicians, or anyone else, who may happen to be a foreign born.
