Captain Cook statue vandalised in Melbourne
3 years ago
25
A statue of Captain Cook has been spray-painted red in Melbourne as authorities remain on alert for Invasion Day protests.
Events celebrating Australia Day have been scaled back due to COVID-19 and the opposition to the day.
There will be no official Australia Day parade, no Invasion Day protest and no fireworks.
A clean up crew will be arriving soon to clean the statue
