Man Fatally Wounded After Opening fire on MNPD SWAT officers

On Saturday, September 18, 2021, at about 7:45 PM, the metro Nashville swat team was in the parking lot of the Days Inn hotel. The swat team was there to assist homicide detectives in bringing Adrian Cameron (47) into custody.

Cameron was wanted on a state parole violation warrant and was also wanted in questioning for a homicide.

The swat team gave verbal commands for Adrian to exit the room. A female exits the room and is escorted away by officers. A short time after Cameron comes out the room with an AR15 style weapon system and begins firing on the officers. Three officers returned fire fatally wounding Cameron.
