The movie controverisally went through reshoots and rewriters where using CGI and VFX Cavill 's mustache was erased because he was filming Mission Impossible Fallout with Tom Cruise. This movie is ofcourse a sequel to Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice and Man of Steel which were supposed to start the DCEU ( DC Extended Universe) which was meant as a direct comparison to the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe).
