Piano // Chords in the Key of A (Ionian)

The Ionian mode (a.k.a. the "major scale") is the most popular pattern in music. Here, I explain how to play every chord in A Ionian, specifically. Not only the 7 main harmonies, but also all the inversions possible to ease the movement between finger positions.

I show you the natural patterns at play, and that the theory behind these chords is simple. And once you learn how these chords are formed -- and connected to each other -- you're unstoppable as a songwriter.

Songwriting is fun when you can actually see what you're doing. I use the familiar patterns of color to explain music theory so you can write songs.
