Blade Change on the RYOBI AP1301 | Fast and Easy! | 2021/45

I have an older model Ryobi AP1301 Thickness Planer that I bought on eBay a few years ago. Its been a great machine, but it's been getting slower, and that because the blades are dull.

I picked up some new blades on Amazon, but fortunately, I didn't actually need them, this model uses two sided blades, and the other sides had never been used!

After removing the blade cover, loosening the seven (7) set screws, I was able to remove the blade, clean it up, flip it around, and put it right back in the cutter head. There are two blades, the the process was just repeated on the other blade.

I cleaned up the machine, waxed the bed, and continued on with my project. the cuts are flawless now.

I may keep this machine for a few more years or upgrade to the new model that has recently been released by Ryobi.
