Dashcam footage of VAG Technic abusing my magazine featured Audi S4 3.0T.

In their own words, the "cleanest car we ever had". This car was sent in for a timing chain job and did not require any sort of "test drive". If you even want to call this a test drive without diagnosis? This was purely an illegal joy ride in a paying customer's car with no mechanical sympathy or care for other's property.

After VAG Technic "completed" the job, the car was returned to me with a noisy engine that was consuming 2 x oil than before. I made multiple complaints to which their reply was "it's normal". Just 4 weeks after their work the engine seized. Over two months have passed, messages, telephone calls and letters sent, yet VAG Technic still show zero interest in inspecting their work under warranty. I've had every excuse; "we're too busy", "you put in the wrong oil", "we didn't touch the main block", "your car left our shop running", "your car is modified", they've promised to send a recovery truck but nothing was arranged, and they can't even give me a date let alone a timeframe.

Long story short; please think twice before sending your car to VAG Technic. The moment I said I don't have money to spare after their £5,000 bill, is the moment they lost interest in me and the car. I'm posting this as a cautionary tail of unprofessionalism and the frustration for having to pursue further actions because VAG Technic is not a serious business. I've made every effort to try and work with these guys, offer to send my car back, use an different garage, get an independent expert witness report, but they are nothing more than excuses to take your money, a typical cowboy garage.

Don't believe what you see their YouTube videos. I'm down a £5k bill to VAG Technic, plus £7.5k for a new engine + fitting, I've not had a car for 4 months and, once this is all said and done the car will have lost resell value due to half of the vehicle's maintenance history now being irrelevant. For one of the best looked after and prestigious B8 S4 models left on the UK roads it's a real shame.
