Kipit had humble beginnings; several grad students had trouble keeping track of all the items that they needed every day. With school, work, gym, friends, hobbies, travel, the likelihood that we left something behind or forgot something at home was big. No one else was properly handling it, so we decided to step up to the plate.

Since then, we have found so many people who also are interested in solving this problem. We pitched our idea and prototype to Cornell Tech's startup awards, and they liked it so much that they gave us some funding and office space, and since then we have been raring to get ourselves up and running!
