This is a look-back at my second interview with Christopher Sharrett, Professor of Film Studies at Seton Hall University. This time around we discuss the idea of "the couple" in horror movies- how it signifies a "return to normal/all is right in the world" at the end of the film; sexuality in the original Frankenstein & Bride of Frankenstein films; the differences between Dracula (1931) and the German films The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari and Nosferatu; how middle class life was portrayed in the original The Blob, and we wrap it up with a look at Scanners.
