FIX: AR-15 Bolt Not Locking Back After Last Round with Magpul Bad Lever

For quite some time I had intermittent problems with the bolt not locking back after the last round.

At first it was just some old G.I. mags that I had used heavily for years, so I marked them each time they failed and was going to replace them. But then it happened on more of them, but not on PMags.

I went ahead and pulled the BL but then later decided "No, I want it". Then after a while it started happening with PMags.

I had dug for a solution for quite a few months here and there. Lots of people were having the problem, and most suggested it could be a variety of things, but I found no real solution. Knowing that my rifle already had pushing 20,000 rounds I went ahead and replaced the bolt catch. But that didn't fix it.

Then one night while troubleshooting it by looking at all of the mechanics involved, I discovered this.

I hope it helps as it seems like a lot of people are having this issue. Even if you're not, it is something to consider when buying parts for your AR as you may want to more closely evaluate what anti rotation pins and/or speed lever you want to use.
