Making Mini Apple Pies from Rehydrated Homemade Freeze Dried Apple Pie Filling
Rehydrating some apple pie filling that we had freeze dried almost 2 years ago and making mini apple pies using the rehydrated filling. We had made and frozen the pie filling a couple years before we bought the Harvest Right freeze dryer and freeze dried it.

Apple Filling for Crisp or Pie & Crisp Topping

10 cups apple slices -- sliced firm cooking apple
1/2 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
dash nutmeg

1 cup butter -- cold
1 1/4 cups flour
1 1/4 cups sugar
1 cup rolled oats
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup brown sugar
