Ingredients:
For the cake:
2 1/3 cups (290g) Flour
2 teaspoons Baking powder
1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/2 cup (115g) Butter, softened
1/2 cup (120ml) Oil
1½ cups (300g) Sugar
3 Eggs
1 cup (240ml) Buttermilk (more if needed)
1 tablespoon Vanilla extract
For the frosting:
2/3 cup (150g) Butter, softened
1/2 cup (120ml) Heavy cream, cold
1¼ cups (160g) Icing sugar
2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
1¾ cups (400g) Cream cheese

Instruction:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175C). Grease the bottom and sides of two 8-inch (20-cm) round cake pans with parchment paper.
Sift flour, baking powder, and baking soda into a mixing basin; add salt, whisk, and set aside.
Cream the butter and sugar together in a large mixing dish. Then, one at a time, add the eggs, beating well after each addition. Beat in the oil and vanilla essence until fully combined.
Alternate between adding half of the flour mixture and half of the buttermilk, starting with the flour mixture and ending with the buttermilk. Then do it all over again. After each addition, beat until fully combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared pans. Bake for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Allow the cakes to cool in the pan for 5-10 minutes before removing them to a wire rack to cool fully.
To make the frosting, cream together the cream cheese and butter in a large mixing basin until smooth. Combine the powdered sugar and vanilla essence in a mixing bowl. Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy. To make stiff peaks, whip heavy cream in a separate bowl. Then fold the mixture into the cream cheese.
Assemble the cake by placing one cake layer flat side down. Spread a layer of frosting, set the second piece of cake on top of the frosting, flat side up. Spread the icing evenly around the top and sides of the cake. Sprinkles should be used to decorate the cake's edges.
Allow for at least 2 hours of refrigeration before serving.
