The ministry of deliverance has been much maligned. Jesus walked in deliverance every time that he spoke. Deliverance gives people an opportunity to be set free. Jesus spoke of deliverance as "Deliverance is the children's bread". It is part of our covenant benefit that allows us to be set free from spiritual maladies. Isaiah 61:1 "The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed.
