Eternal Oscillations [Horn Quartet]

This is a piece I started composing fall of 2018, it's been a little over 3 years since I started this piece. I believe I finished it spring of 2021, I've just now gotten around to posting this because before I wasn't confident in my work, however I feel it's polished enough for a public view.

When I started composing this piece, I honestly didn't have an end goal, I just made a piece that I thought sounded cool/pretty. Eventually I came up with the idea since I would bounce back and forth between ideas that I would make that a theme throughout the piece. Given the nature of the music, I decided to call it Eternal Oscillation because it's a piece that's constantly moving, going through all types of time signatures, grooves and switches up who plays what and when.

I even had my old horn prof help me polish this piece to make it more of a playable piece, as originally I had it go to some really high notes for the 1st horn part. (rip any 1st horns) I believe this piece turned out amazing and it invokes multiple emotions. Hence, Eternal Oscillations.
