We love our fine neck of the woods, called South Florida and we’re proud to live here. Today we will explore our very own Venice- Fort Lauderdale, also widely known as the “Venice of America”. Come along and explore the brightest jewel of the Broward county’s crown and I will share 5 fun facts you might have never heard about Fort Lauderdale. Let’s go.

Fort Lauderdale has a rich and diverse history, going back to 1838. Even its name is rooted in this history, as Fort Lauderdale was named after Army Major William Lauderdale (Fact 1).

Fact 2. Fort Lauderdale enjoys over 300 miles of canals and channels, forming the Intercoastal Waterways.
