Have you ever watched movies and TV? What is your impression of the rural American? Probably a dirty, ignorant, uncultured individual who may be a bit racist. Or, they're sweet, and wise in their own way; but still ignorant and probably has prejudices against people that don't share their culture. Guess who makes movies and TV shows. Liberals, and more so, progressives.
