A couple months ago employees at 23ABC pledged a portion of their paychecks for Scripps' annual "If You Give a Child a Book" campaign, a nationwide effort to improve literacy for our school districts in underprivileged areas. With the matching dollars from our partners at the Scripps Howard Foundation and generous viewers, we were able to raise so much money this year we aren't just doing a book giveaway we're also hosting a surprise Scholastic book fair.
