Riding a NJ Transit/Metro North WOH GP40 Diesel Train: From Harriman to Ridgewood

Recorded on 6/2/21. After a very long time of not riding trains, I finally had an opportunity to film a train ride! This one being my first time riding on the Metro North Port Jervis Line! Someday I will ride the line to Port Jervis but this time we got on the train from Harriman and rode the train to Ridgewood which is the current series running on this channel. We rode on a Alstom Comet V cab car which is the only cab cars that run on the Port Jervis Line. We also ride the New Jersey Transit Main and Bergen County Lines from Suffern to Ridgewood as well. We made all local stops to Suffern and then only stopped at Ramsey Route 17 before we arrived at Ridgewood. When I got off this train ran express on the Bergen County Line to Secaucus. I'm still a little confused on how the Port Jervis Line works since Metro North owns the New York Stations and maintains the line from Suffern to Port Jervis but New Jersey Transit operates the trains and all of the money goes to New Jersey Transit. Still a cool line nothing less. Enjoy the train ride!
