Canadian Covid dystopia: Premier Brian Peckford hammers unconstitutional emergency orders
Credit Instagram's @supermangaellaeh with this clip of former Newfoundland Premier Brian Peckford as he expresses his disgust at the current political leadership in Canada as he is interviewed by Tanya Gaw, the founder of ActionCanada.com, in November 2021.
Peckford stresses the unconstitutionality of the public health emergency orders because the orders need to be "demonstrably justified". Peckford appoints out the fact that "there is not one shred [or] one piece of paper where they have demonstrably justified any of these emergency orders".
Peckford mentions Section 52 of the BNA Act, now known as the Constitution Act 1867, to wit:
52 (1) The Constitution of Canada is the supreme law of Canada, and any law that is inconsistent with the provisions of the Constitution is, to the extent of the inconsistency, of no force or effect.
