I. Honor All Men - 1 Peter 2:17
A. For all are made in the Image of God - Genesis 1:26-27
1. All are in His image from the moment of conception
2. Satan works to convince men that they are merely beas
B. Even the wicked must not be denigrated as animals - 2 Peter 3:9
1. We share the Good News with the lost
2. We pray for their deliverance from evil - 2 Timothy 2:24-26
II. Love the Brotherhood
A. The love of Christ (agape) is self sacrificial
B. Our commitment is deeper than kinship - Mat 10:21-22
III. Fear God

IV. Honor the King
A. The Roman Empire was the civil government of that day and place
1. The king was to be honored for his position in civil government
which God had ordained
2. God ordained human civil government to fulfill His purposes - 1
Peter 2:14
B. It is honoring civil government to call it to repentance
1. John the Baptist message to the king - Mark 6:17-20
2. Jesus’ message to the king - Luke 13:31-32
