After being handed a five-year prison sentence on Aug. 20, 2013, Andrea Sneiderman was released on parole from Lee Arrendale State Prison in Georgia on June 16.

Sneiderman, the widow of former Beachwood resident Russell “Rusty” Sneiderman, was found guilty last summer on nine felony counts, including perjury, in connection with the murder of her husband. Rusty was shot in November 2010 outside Dunwoody Prep day care center in Georgia, where he had just dropped off his then 2-year-old son.

The appeal is based on what the defense claims was the allowance of inadmissible evidence from Neuman’s former Realtor during the perjury trial, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Hemy Neuman, Sneiderman’s former boss at GE Energy, was sentenced to life in prison without parole for the murder.

Sneiderman was arrested in August 2012 after prosecutors accused her of helping coordinate the killing of her husband and lying under oath during Neuman’s trial. Prosecutors also alleged that Sneiderman was having a romantic relationship with Neuman, an allegation that Sneiderman has adamantly denied.

Sneiderman, who has two children, will remain under parole supervision until the completion of her sentence in August 2017. Her nine felony convictions will be erased if she does not commit another offense before the end of her sentence, according to The Atlanta-Journal Constitution.

Rusty’s brother, Steve Sneiderman, of Solon, said his family had no comment at this time.
