Austin Harrouff was just 19 when it's alleged he carried out the gruesome crime and killed John Stevens and his wife, Michelle Mishcon.
But now he stands accused of murdering a married couple and then chewing one of his victim's faces.

The 23-year-old was arrested in Florida after he seemingly launched a random attack on married couple, John Stevens and his wife, Michelle Mishcon in 2016.

Officers were greeted with a truly horrific scene when they arrived. The couple were dead and police reported that Harrouff was on top of John and chewing his face.

Officers shouted at the then teenager, who was growling like a dog, to get off the victims but he wouldn't listen and was eventually only pulled off when several police were involved.
Harrouff was jolted several times with a stun gun and was bitten by a police dog before officers could put him in handcuffs.

Horrifyingly, as officers tried to talk to the then 19-year-old Harrouff spat a chunk of flesh out of his mouth and admitted it was "human".

John, 59, and his 53-year-old wife, Michelle, had been beaten and stabbed to death.

In chilling police interviews after the gruesome attack Harrouff said he has no memory of killing the couple - or why he did it.
