The reason you need to understand this is that during the Great Tribulation demons will eventually control every person that rejects the gospel of Jesus. Let me say that again, during the Great Tribulation everyone who rejects the gospel of Jesus will come under the control of demons. They will be demon possessed. Those taking the mark of the beast will commit the unpardonable sin and every one of them will be demon possessed.

Now those choosing to obey God and worship Him, will have their faith severely tested before they are sealed. The sealing is the removal of the sinful nature; however, it doesn’t remove our power of choice. Adam and Eve, in there sinless condition, had the power to choose to sin and they did.

Lucifer and the angels, in their saved condition, had the power of choice and they chose to sin. God never removes the power of choice from his children because God is love, and as such, he grants each of us the power of choice. God will only receive our worship if we choose to worship Him in spirit and in truth. On the other hand, the devil will accept forced worship because he wants control at any cost.

You've heard me say, and I don't know the source of this, but it's such a powerful statement: The last resort of false religion is always force! God knows that we don't understand the spiritual dimension very well. That’s the dimension in which the Holy Spirit and the devil function. This is one reason why God has given us the Two Witnesses: the Ten Commandments and the Holy Spirit, to guide us into all truth so that we can understand things that cannot be seen.
