Christmas isn’t about how much we spend or don’t spend. It is about the Joy, Hope, Love, Peace, The Gift of Our Lord and Savior and sharing the blessing of that Gift with the world. The gifts that we share as a symbol of God’s ultimate Gift don’t need to cost money as long as that are given and received with love and joy.

Don’t cancel your Christmas Celebrations and Parties because you can’t afford expensive gifts. There are endless gift swap ideas. With a gift swap you can have large gift exchanges and each person only brings a single gift. Secret Santa swaps are the simplest, but the White Elephant swaps are FUN. I got a horse at a White Elephant Swap at church 25 years ago. That one was so much fun I renamed the swap 😊 Homemade gifts can be elaborate or as simple as a cookie. So celebrate, have fun, share some JOY and let your LIGHT shine as bright as the Christmas Star.
