Who creates a legacy?

I think you might be somewhat surprised by my answer.

If you die, and you're replacable, your work WILL INDEED almost CERTAINLY do just that (and in short order).

Yes it IS true your family (or some part of it) may never get over your passing (short of their own).

Does that mean work is not important for multiple reasons?

I wouldn't say so.
