Finding Direction, Getting Lost with Photography or Creativity

‘We missed the point the whole way along. It was a musical thing and you were supposed to sing, or to dance while the music was being played,’ said Alan Watts, an English writer and speaker known for interpreting and popularizing Indian and Chinese traditions.
This year started with a grand celebration—I’m engaged to be married. Concurrently, I’m refocusing my photography work. My new direction is being formulated. It’s a painful growing stage. And I signed myself up for it. I’m excited and admittedly apprehensive. I appreciate change, I seek it, even though it can be frightening.

The point is to move forward. Take the cues that a particular goal is not worth running toward any longer. But that seachange will become a bedrock of happiness and future success. This is the new year. New milestones abound, new turns in the road.

For those of you willing to get lost, and dance in the rain—I see you, we’re trekking together, my friend.

Until next time, I’ll see you in the streets.
