Star's Thread Mill & Historic Barnett Shoals • Arnoldsville Mill • Fish 'n Chips @ Royal Peasant

In this episode, Tommy and I visit the historic Barnett Shoals and Star's Thread Mill, including the former mill town's cemetery. This 1800's mill once not only produced fine, cotton yarns, but it also provided the first electricity to the Athens and Watkinsville area. Built in 1800, the mill is now just crumbling ruins with very little remnants left of its hay-days.
After that, we journeyed to the ruins of another mill located in Arnoldsville.
From there, we went into Athens to eat at the Royal Peasant for some Guiness and authentic fish and chips.
