Attack of the Hydrilla

The coves of Lake Sinclair have been overtaken this year with Hydrilla. This is an invasive species plant out of Asia. Apparently, it's an issue that is spreading across lakes throughout the country. Georgia Power lowers the water level of the lake every five years and it seems that when they filled it back up after this year's draw down, it must have spread the plant throughout the coves around the lake. The issue has been picked up on the local news as well. This video shows how much the plant can take over, how it affects enjoying the lake, and how we are treating it.
