Colors Basics: What is color relativity

A discussion and demonstration of the principle of relative color and human perception. I use color swatches to demonstrate how we perceive the same color appearing differently based on its environment. (Tip: We can also make two different colors appear the same or similar using the same principles in reverse.) Color relativity is a principle put forth by Josef Albers, and relates to the 7 color contrasts proposed by Johannes Itten. Color relativity also occurs with digital color.
