URGENT! Jakes Gultch Forest fire threatens Sukkot! 🔥

Camp Perkins, the camp we have reserved for Sukkot, has been evacuated, the forest and the highway closed due to a nearby forest fire.

My heart is devastated and tired. So much planning has gone into using their camp.

But then I know how this goes. Evil does not sleep. And the last thing the enemy wants us to do is to gather together to obey and rejoice before YHVH. He is going to war with the Saints. He is frustrating the plans of the people of Yah.

But I know that the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob, YHVH Elohim will prevail. Whether He makes my plans succeed or not it doesn’t matter. These holidays are His not mine. His will WILL be done on earth as it is in heaven. And we WILL help to bring His will to earth (through obedience) no matter what comes our way or where w we have Sukkot, or how my heart breaks.

The camp staff has arranged for us to use another camp for our Sukkot event that is south of there a ways. so Sukkot will continue on — perhaps just in a different location. It’s an okay camp, but I really want to host YAH’s Sukkot at Camp Perkins. It is the camp that I chose. It is the camp that Maggie and I went to check out. It is the right camp for us. I feel it in my bones.

That said, I will let it go if I have to. But I will fight too. Please pray for it to be HIS will. Thank you!

(PS...When I got off the phone with the Camp Perkins staff member she texted me and said it started raining out of the blue right when we hung up. Then a few hours later it started pouring here. I cannot find any fire reports for today. I will let it go and rest for the rest of Shabbat…and pick up the battle tomorrow.)
