Understanding the concept of smaller government is essential to understanding the vision of the Founding Fathers of the U.S.A.

The paradigm of the community has replaced the rights of the individual. Because there has been a general drift (Nationally) towards a secular, dare we say "Marxist" model for governance, the concept of individual liberty or rights has almost become foreign to the general public and perceived as even being dangerous.

When the Government becomes the arbiter of rights they themselves can not only outline what rights are granted , they can also withhold said rights indefinitely without provocation or reason.
