Sex Amongst Orangutans - Borneo

Whilst traveling in Borneo we were lucky enough to visit the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, home to many rescued and rehabilitated orangutans. Whist observing their playful activity in a 'day area' full of enrichment toys and ropes, one male took a particular liking to one of the females in the group.

Well, I guess when love is in the air, the boys will have a go. And he did...

Not sure if she was all too happy about it - her expression looks more like "I said I wanted a banana, not YOUR banana!..."

Plus watch out for two younger orangs checking out the action as they try to grab some fruit lying behind the older 'active' male...Lol!
