UPDATE: 2022.01.03

It has been brought to my attention from a source familiar with the subject that these tracks have been archived for the time being and there are no plans to release them.

--------------------------------------------------------

Vinnie Paul, the Drummer for Pantera and brother of Legendary Guitarist Dimebag Darrell, also of Pantera, discusses 5 or so tracks that only he and Dimebag were on, no vocals, and they had been working on them for "Damage Plan", for a second record. They never finished the work on these tracks because Dimbag was shot and killed in late 2004 and as Vinnie explains he hadn't decided at the time of this interview as to what exactly he was going to do with the tracks but he wanted them to eventually be released so that Dimebag's fans could hear them. He mentioned that he had given thought to having some of Dimebag's favorite singers contribute to them such as Chris Cornell or some others.

What became of these "lost tracks" where Dimebag and Vinnie Paul were the only musicians on the tracks, with no vocals and Dimebag on the base? Who has these tracks now, or holds the rights on them? Will we ever be able to hear them? Or have they already been released?

I currently do not know the answer to this question. The interview with Vinnie Paul was published in 2016, and as most fans know, Vinnie Paul passed away in his sleep in Las Vegas in 2018. Did these tracks ever get released prior to his passing?
