Time for an emergency steel shovel

On the morning of December 27 the forecast of maybe a lot more snow convinced me to buy a small steel shovel after having a shower at the Saanich Commonwealth Place. As it turned out I used it the very next day from calling for a tow truck after getting stuck in snow with one rear wheel almost not touching ground because of a ditch. A silly plastic shovel is useless for times like that in comparison especially when there is ice. Be prepared.
