Betty White 100th birthday film to screen across US despite her death

A movie commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of TV actress Betty White will be screened nationwide even after the 99-year-old died on December 31st.
The movie "Betty White: Youth 100 Years-Celebrating Her Birthday" will be screened at nearly 900 theaters nationwide on January 17, when USA Today said it was her birthday.
"Today, our hearts mourn Betty White. Having worked with her for many years, we've earned a lot of love and admiration for Betty as a person and as a seasoned entertainer, "said film producers Steve Betcher and Mike Trink. Rhein said in a statement by Fathom Events.

The year-end issue of People Magazine also has White on the cover, which says "Betty White Turns 100!". According to The New York Times, the issue ended on December 23 and appeared on the newsstand on Wednesday, a few days before White died.
White's agent and friend Jeff Witjas confirmed her death on Friday. "Betty was almost 100 years old, but I thought she would live forever," Vityas said in a statement from People Magazine.
