In this video, we anneal brass with the Bench Source for another loading. This is the first step with fired brass to prolong its life, avoid work-hardening and get consistent neck tension.

Annealing brass can add life and consistency. Anneal reduces work hardening of the case and produces a uniform neck tension.
Using the Bench Source annealer, I set my brass up for a dual flame at 5-6 seconds - just as the case neck and shoulder junction begin to color change it is removed from the flame.
It was recently said that if you don't have the AMP Annealer, don't bother annealing. I believe this is wrong. Before the method you see now I used a hand drill and torch. Even that method produced the results of longer brass life and more consistent seating pressure. The Bench Source was an upgrade for me and it has added more value in time saved and repatability. I highly recommend annealing as you see fit.
