Ackerman's book's final chapter is titled Conspiracy Theories, and he spends most of that chapter on four of them: German, Jewish, British and American. This is where he starts to conclude the book and to reveal (unintentionally) a main purpose of writing it. Unfortunately, most of this is focused on Trotsky's trip from New York to St. Petersburg and the matters of money and passports related to that, which are the strong suite of his story.
