Waupaca, Wisconsin in a snow story, but what a wonderful experience, thank God I had an All Wheel Drive Lincoln that a friend let me use, many people could not move through the snow. Driving from Green Bay to Lacrosse are almost all "back roads" and some roads were not even plowed but as an Alaskan, I felt "right at home". I praise God every day for safety driving, knowing it is almost always the single most dangerous thing we do in our lives. AKA driving a car anywhere let alone through a major snowstorm. must say, I don't know many people making the drive would stop and even go out of the way to visit historic sites and old cemeteries.
Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery
December 28, 2021 snowing, we finally got around 6 inches, it was truly beautiful to see SO MANY wreaths, truly a spectacular sight, there was no one else at the cemetery, I guess no one was crazy enough to trudge through the cemetery on a blistery, snowy VERY cold day. The temperature was around 17 degrees. My heart was warm though as I remember our Veterans. Thank you so much for your service, and for those families who lost loved ones serving our country, I both shed a tear for you but also rejoice for the bravery those who made the ultimate sacrifice to keep us safe. Check out what I do besides my great appreciation for our Armed Forces.
