We are in a public health emergency. It’s called the opioid crisis, and it is indeed a crisis. At the current rate, we are losing more than a Vietnam War’s worth of dead to drug overdoses. But some good news, there’s a substance that has the potential to help all these people get clean and end overdosing: it’s called Kratom. The bad news, the government doesn’t want to let them have it.
