Can the West Survive China Taking Over Taiwan? [HIGHLIGHTS]

Virtually every computer with a display contains a chip manufactured by a single company - the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC). The vast majority of all other computers and mobile devices do too. Surprisingly, so does most other equipment which runs on electricity - fridges, freezers, televisions, toys, cars, military equipment, ... We explore the consequences for the West if TSMC's output were to become unavailable. We conclude that not just all offices, businesses, power stations but also all manufacturing lines, agricultural output and even military equipment would be severely affected. With lifetimes of electronics with built-in obsolescence getting ever shorter, how long would the West last? Have Western leaders been asleep at the wheel? Watch and find out!
