2. Submission is a choice of the will
B. “Every ordinance” - Humanly created institution
C. “For the Lord’s sake” - therefore can never be something that violates God’s perfect Law - Acts 5:29
D. The just purposes of human civil government
1. Punish evildoers - violations of God’s Law where punishment powers are assigned by God to the civil magistrate
2. Praise those who do good - good according to Gods’ Law not man’s invented standards of so called justice
