Family Settles in Nazareth
Episode 12 Our main text is from two locations: Luke 2:39-40 & Matthew 2:19-23 In Luke there is an overview of their return to Nazareth. Luke does not include the many portions we find in Matthew chapter 2. Matthew gives us some detail of how they left Egypt and came back to the land of Israel ultimately settling in Nazareth. Matthew also includes the mysterious prophecy “He shall be called a Nazarene”. This was previously discussed back in episode 2 - Old Testament Prophecies.
