The Tridentine Mass, also known as the Traditional Latin Mass or Traditional Rite, is the Roman Rite Mass of the Catholic Church which appears in typical editions of the Roman Missal published from 1570 to 1962. Celebrated exclusively in Ecclesiastical Latin, except for the Kyrie which is Greek and alleluia which is Hebrew, it was the most widely used Eucharistic liturgy in the world from its issuance in 1570.
