Naked power grab: Trudeau purports to override fundamental rights of the unjabbed minority

This 25-second long video, which came across my desk on 20 December 2021, shocks and frightens me. The footage appears to be an excerpt of a presentation made by Trudeau, the record of which was made by reporters from the Canadian Press and was published electronically (at least in The Globe And Mail [0] where the slant is positive) on 17 December 2021. The excerpt published here differs and is additional to that published by the Globe. I would guess that the cameraman or an editor at the Canadian Press was unhappy with the abridgement that bears the CP word mark and so decided to throw this clip out to the wolves.

The Trudeau government has apparently paid lawyers to represent to them a "loophole" through which the fundamental rights of a minority can be overridden. I am unaware of the validity of this advice, but the simple fact that Trudeau felt comfortable to address a press conference (or was it a staff assembly?) with these words should give everyone pause for thought.

Mind you, the third Trudeau government is a minority government. That skippy feels he can steamroller the measure through a servile Parliament and his lapdog Supreme Court tells you, dear reader, everything you need to know about life today in Canada.
