Ramon Allones Specially Selected Cigar Review
This 4 7/8x50 cigar hails from Cuba, wrapped in a medium brown satin wrapper with minimal veins, invisible seams, a soft tobacco aroma and a slight box press with rounded corners. It has a very soft squishy feel with random soft spots throughout. First light reveals a very snug draw but smokable, a decent amount of smoke output with soft slightly sweet and nutty tobacco flavors. Body is mild-medium and the finish is very long and oily, leaving a slick in my mouth. The first third is medium bodied with nutty, woody tobacco flavors. There's an oily sweetness on the draw and a bit of pepper on the finish. Draw is snug but working just fine. Smoke output is decent, burn is almost razor sharp. 20 min in at the start of the 2nd third, the ash fell off and the draw opened way up, giving a perfect resistance with much more smoke and fuller body flavors. The last third transitions to a creamy, oily, sweet roasted cofee flavor with a deep long finish. Ending at 55 min this was a great smoking experience!
