Credit Instagram's @davidharrisjr with this gem from @leeroypress. The video shows from a panoramic viewpoint the takedown of a US armed forces veteran in a New York City fast-food restaurant. All he brought was Old Glory and his iron will.

Notice how he intones clearly, concisely and repeatedly that he has on his person "no weapons, no grass, no ammo". This will serve him well in a courtroom proceeding should it ever reach that stage, to disclaim any false charges that the police may try to pin on him. We have all seen on television how the corrupt policeman might try to introduce physical evidence of felonious conduct and so to bring down hell upon the man.

This was a preplanned perfectly executed show of majesty. Henry David Thoreau could have done no better. The veteran knows precisely how to control every conceivable negative outcome and uses this knowledge to his advantage in terms of location, time, and impact.

He managed to absorb the best efforts of nine policemen for 60 minutes or more. That is 60 minutes times nine men removed from the police budget of fighting crime like vandalism, theft, motor vehicle accident, DUI and the like. His idea is to absorb resources for disobedience (an ultimately futile pursuit for the city) so that when the crime rate increases the police commissioner can tell the aldermen either to increase the police budget or to conduct themselves in a manner that elicits no disobedience from the citizenry.

This civil disobedience 101 operation and tutorial was executed with flawless military precision to reclaim the flag. Five stars!
