This 5.25x54 stick features a dark brown lightly but firmly packed wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap, dry slightly toothy feel and rich cedar and cocoa aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with plentiful medium-full bodied smoke showing flavors of a rich deep straight tobacco, earth and natural sweetness followed by a black pepper flavor and zing over the tongue. The 1st third draws well but burns wonky needing a touchup. Flavors are still robust moving to a lighter earth with a charred caramel joining the draw followed by a slightly subdued pepper lasting to the next draw. The 1/2 way point comes at 30 minutes with a much better burn, perfect draw and good smoke output getting a little more creamy. Body is down to medium with the same flavors while the pepper almost fades out on the finish. Ending at 55 minutes the last third goes to a soft nuttiness and bigger caramel all carrying through the long finish. Strength ramps up big time to medium-full giving a huge rush for the last third.
