This adorable video shows the hilarious sounds this porcupine makes whilst munching on sweet potato.

The footage was taken by staff at Roger Williams Park Zoo & Carousel Village, Providence, Rhode Island, U. The staff described how they absolutely adore watching George the porcupine enjoying his dinner.

The video shows the hilarious chomping noises he makes as he enjoys his sweet potato. The keepers emphasised their love for George and took to social media to share his amusing dinner time antics:

“George is a prehensile-tailed porcupine. They are herbivores, meaning they eat a huge variety of greens, fruits and vegetables.

“Banana, corn and grapes are some of his favourites but, as you can see, George loves his sweet potatoes! This is the sound of tasty treat perfection.

“Like most nocturnal animals, the prehensile-tailed porcupine has very poor eyesight - luckily their ability to smell and taste makes up for it!”

The prehensile-tailed porcupine is native to South America.

Their front and hind legs have evolved to make them suitable for grasping, an adaptation to them living in trees. This video shows how incredibly they can hold items, just like humans!

George’s adorable eating has captured the hearts of thousands: the video has amassed over 80k likes, with almost 5k comments gushing over his charming chomping.
