Awareness = Energy = Growth

So for us to grow and move forward in our life, we must bring awareness

Did you know, the primary reason for why people get Alzheimer’s, is because they don’t use their brain enough. This blew my mind.

Efficiency is the basis of life, so if our body does not need something, our body will will do something about it. It would just be a waste of energy

Cells know that if a structure is not being used, they will not support it.

Just like when a little one breaks their arm, and then they are put in a cast for a few months. When the cast is removerd, the bones and muscles will have shrunk. Why? Because the arm was inactive and our body responded by not directing energy there
.
95% of our daily behaviour is unconscious, which means there is very little brain activity. We do things out of habit due to repeating the same things day in day out, we stop thinking.

When we are older, and we move less and less, it is very easy to get used to doing the same thing, and what happens, is that the brain is not needed, which means the cells will stop supporting it
.
We have to keep stimulating the brain everyday. New experiences, always learning and changing up your daily routine to break these automatic behaviours
.
Here are 3 simple exercises that will help us become more present, which in return sparks connections and lays down new neural pathways
.
1. Change the passcode on your phone - notice how often you automatically go to Type the previous code

2. Use your weaker hand for every simple day to day task. Brushing teeth, picking up your phone and drinking a drink. You will catch yourself many times

3. Change your response to the question, How are you? Each time use a different positive answer

Keep stimulating the brain by bringing awareness to your daily habits
