The Indianapolis 500 Auto Racing 220 MPH

Watching the Indy 500 from the infield. Indy car racing at its finest going over 220 miles per hour. The Indianapolis 500 also hosts formula one racing and Nascar as well. The Brickyard hosts various types of auto racing including motorcycles.
Many famous drivers have won on this track. Race car drivers measure their success by how well they finish at Indy. Including great drivers like AJ Foyt, Al and Bobby Unser, Helio Castroneves, Rick Mears, Tony Stewart and Mario Andretti. Dale Earnhardt and Jeff Gordon won the 1st and 2nd Nascar Brickyard race.
The track was built in 1909 and paved with over 3.2 million bricks prior to the first Indianapolis 500 held in 1911. Car speeds are nearing 230 miles per hour and make for some dangerous auto racing. As you can tell in this video the cars are moving at very fast speeds.
